Make "Tools > Use Selection for Grid" work with linked parts

Currently, you can only use Tools > Use Selection for Grid when selecting whole objects. We should make it so you can use it when selecting linked parts, too. This has been "broken" for years and years (if it's a bug, and not a deliberate design choice on LL's part).
