ok, you want to crash your client in new ways ... here is one more ... lol ... besides that it does:

  • play parcel music stream

  • play parcel video stream

it does not handle playlists (like m3u or pls or whatever playlist-like youtube provides).

depends on:libxine1 (I use 1.1.16.1 from Debian Sid)

about compiling: sdl complained about a redefinition, I did #ifndef that in the according header, but thats not part of the patch. Part of the patch is: lazy commenting/removing gstreamer in cmake files, so (I say that better one time to often) be careful that you don't break stuff when applying.

bugs:

  • a videostream containing no video is not stopping automatically

  • client locks sometimes while buffering video

  • video and audio can get out of sync

todo:

  • better way to convert the video stream

  • implement seek

  • let volume respect platform volume

  • get metadata out to a nice notifybox(i suggest to do that also for gstreamer)

  • handle playlists (... also for gstreamer)

  • try on other platforms than linux
